Race-week preparation started with daily loft inspections, controlled feeding and light training tosses so the selected team stayed sharp without overwork.

Only birds showing clean health, strong muscle tone and reliable trapping behaviour were basketed for this Middle Distance race.

Bloodlines used at Frank Loft include proven racing families selected for speed, orientation and the stamina needed in Chennai club competition.

In the days before liberation, wind, temperature and expected race pace were reviewed so basketing and liberation timing matched real course conditions.

On race morning the team left the loft calmly. Clean liberation and a direct home line remain priorities for every Frank Loft programme.

The finishing position of 2nd reflects both pedigree quality and the steady training plan followed through the season.

All arrivals were recorded on the Benzing G2 electronic clocking system, giving accurate times for club verification and personal loft records.

Returning birds showed good condition, quick drop into the loft and the confidence that comes from consistent weekly work.

After clocking, each bird received rest, fresh water and a recovery feed before returning to the normal loft routine.

Droppings, weight and behaviour were checked again the following morning to confirm full recovery before the next training cycle.

Young birds learn from these race days, while stock birds are judged for breeding value based on real race performance, not appearance alone.
